Equipment Component Specialist (Mine Maintenance and Reliability)

We have a great opportunity for a Component Specialist to join our dynamic maintenance & reliability (M&R) mine team in Fort McMurray. In this role you will take ownership of the M&R mine component execution and act as the component expert. You will provide leadership, mentorship and guidance for all component contracts from award to closure of contracts and be accountable for accurate and smooth component operations.

You will use your expertise to:

• Collaborate with all partners to maximize and improve component benefits
• Lead procedural development and review terms as they relate to components
• Ensure that the components master data is accurate in SAP
• Reconcile and validate all component hours and dollars, resolve disputes, and publish reports
• Validate and manage component change-out sheet for major and minor component and ensure all cores are shipped on a timely basis
• Develop, manage, and publish component management reporting

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

• Five years of technical and commercial experience in contract management and component management
• Three years of experience with SAP plant maintenance and data management
• A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Preference for:

• Relevant post-secondary education such as a degree in engineering or a mechanical technologist diploma
• A degree or diploma in business management
• Strong knowledge of the component processes
• Complex understanding of contracts and contract terminology
• Strong administrative skills with computer knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
• A continuous improvement mindset and you are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems and processes in the workplace
• The proven ability to effectively communicate and interact with others across a multitude of business units to develop and build strong positive working relationships

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

• You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
• If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals SAP:IND
