In this position, you will provide your expertise in asset data management processes and other technologies to support development of enterprise wide asset information strategies and architecture.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review asset data processes and technologies to identify gaps and help develop improve plans.
  • Participate in the development of roadmaps that depict current and future technical data architectures
  • Support our enterprise digital transformation strategy by assisting in the continuous improvement and sustainability of asset data lifecycle management processes and tools
  • Provide input and support of technical asset information specifications, procedures and guidelines

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Prior experience with data management and analysis is essential
  • Currently enrolled in a formal diploma or degree that trains students on digital information tools such Geographical Information System (GIS) or Computer Assisted Drafting, and returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • Attach your transcripts with your application and clearly indicate the length of work term for which you are available

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of AutoCAD or similar program
  • You have proven, exceptional data processing knowledge including SQL and a familiarity with database modelling. 
  • Demonstrated ability to adherence to procedures: you don’t take or tolerate shortcuts and if the procedure is incorrect, you help to fix it
  • Continually seek knowledge and understanding: you strive to understand the systems, processes and hazards in and around the workplace and determine improvement opportunities

Working Conditions

  • This is a 12-month work term, from January 2019 – December 2019
  • This position is located in Calgary, Alberta at the Suncor Energy Centre
