The Anthropology Department invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2019 – 2020 Fall/Winter Session. Date of Posting: Friday, July 5– Wednesday, August 7, 2019 (inclusive) Applications submitted via MOSAIC to the attention of: Dr. Tristan Carter, Undergraduate Chair Course Name(s)/Number(s): Anthropology 2G03 Readings in Indo-European Myth Winter Term: Monday, January 6 – Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Number of Section(s) Available one Projected Enrollment:250 Projected TA Support: 1 @ 130 hrs Lecture schedule: tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 2:30 – 3:20 pm Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties This course will acquaint students with the myths of Ancient Greece, Ancient India, the Kelts and the Norse. Other traditions may also be examined. Lectures and discussion (three hours) Required Qualifications A PhD or ABD in Anthropology (or related discipline) is required. Selection will be based on seniority, academic qualifications, teaching competence, ability to perform the various duties of the Appointment, and previous academic employment experience (these criteria are not listed in order of priority.)
