Description

Responsible for providing instructors with support to design and develop materials grounded in sound educational theory and best practices in instructional design. Assists in the selection, design, production and implementation of educational strategies.

  • Understands, articulates and documents project vision and scope.
  • Analyzes instructional design and provides advice with regards to educational theory and implementation.
  • Conducts stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews.
  • Creates curriculum roadmaps and recommends the optimal blend and supporting rationale based on effective pedagogical use.
  • Facilitates and participates in creative design meetings.
  • Determines, recommends and documents project instructional standards and strategies, learner engagement strategies and evaluation plans.
  • Writes content, including measurable learning objectives, creative scenarios, simulations, audio script and evaluation questions for instructional design.
  • Ensures engaging and creative deliverables while still maintaining the instructional integrity and validity of the solution.
  • Ensures all deliverables are written in accordance with the agreed upon identification and development standards.
  • Performs detailed quality assurance testing for all deliverables for instructional soundness and interaction design as well as functionality testing.

Supervision:

Provides direction to others in how to carry out work tasks.
