If you have honed your Home and Community Nursing practice and are an innovative nurse educator who is experienced in developing and delivering online education and learning resources; then we have a unique and rewarding opportunity for you in our collaborative and supportive team.

The ideal applicant will be an RN who is proficient in the Resident Assessment Instrument RAI tool and the assessment of seniors and frail elderly within home and community care services. We are looking for a nurse educator to bring advanced nursing practice along with proven experience in utilizing adult teaching/learning principles, curriculum development, knowledge transfer methods, research and evaluation and reporting skills.

We anticipate that you will be someone who has an enthusiasm for clinical informatics, who enjoys using as well as troubleshooting technology and teleconferencing systems and tools (such as Webex). The successful applicant will be able to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, utilize creative approaches and critical thinking skills to deliver and elevate online nursing education. The RAI Home Care Staff Development Educator role offers a great opportunity to work autonomously, apply education best practice and develop your leadership capability.

This is a relief full-time position until approximately December 2019 or the return of the current incumbent. Days of work are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.

CredentialsCurrent practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
Current CPR certification.
Education RequirementsBaccalaureate Degree in Nursing
ExperienceThree years’ recent related experience and two years’ formal experience in adult teaching/learning and curriculum development
