Class A Roll Off Truck Driver

** Starting at $30 per hour for experienced roll-off truck drivers, with overtime paid after 8 hours per day **

The Opportunity

Our Clean Harbors, Burlington, ON location is currently seeking an OTR Class A Truck Driver to collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from our customer sites and to transport the waste to a Clean Harbors locations or other designated disposal sites. This role involves travelling throughout Canada and the United States; way from home up to two (2) weeks at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Picks up waste from Clean Harbors facilities or customer locations utilizing Roll-Offs, Step Deck or Dump Trailer ;
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units;
• Secures loads for safe transportation;
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations;
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Class A CDL with clean driving record required;
• Hazmat endorsement, or willingness to obtain upon hire;
• 1+ years of previous cross-border commercial driving experience preferred;
• Valid Passport;
• Previous roll-off, step deck or dump trailer driving experience preferred;
• Ability to travel overnight up to 2 weeks at a time.
